Support My Homie SK!
Make sure yall support my lil homie John "SK" McGee and go cop that Trey Songz READY album when it drops!!! He co-produced 2 records on the album, not to mention the countless number of records he did for Trey in all. He's a NC native (Medoc, NC), as well as a fellow WSSU Ram. So I'm especially talkin to yall Winston/NC people! We really got some talent coming up in the industry from NC, that people don't even know yet! We work hard as producers trying to get into the business, hoping someone likes the music we create and also believes in our vision, doing so many records day & night for an artist, and still never knowing if we'll make the album...AND HE GOT 2 JOINTZ ON THERE!!! So go get it, and support my boy SK!

"Ventriloquist" Produced by J-Kits
Another demo I did w/ my homie D-Brown. D-Breezy wrote "Ms. Independent" Remix with Jamie Foxx, Neyo & Fab. Also for J-Holiday & others...Anyway its an old record we did for Mario, and eventually Usher's group One Chance. This also did not make the cut lol, but its cool enough to go ahead & post on the net. Check out this joint too, and drop a line. "Ventriloquist" Produced by J-Kits, Written by D-Brown...LATA!!!

"I Am Luv" Produced by J-Kits
I did this demo song sometime last year for Brandy's album. A songwriter named TC wrote the song. He actually ended making her album with a song called "Something's Missing" which is CRAZY! But although this particular joint didn't make it I just decided to let some people hear what I got in the in cut, since I don't do it too often anyway. But check it out and let me know what you think..."I Am Luv" DEMO produced by J-Kits, written by TC (excuse the low quality, was not mixed)

Goin to Class pt.1
I always watch producers working in the studio. Its inspiring, and at times I learn from them by just listening and paying attention to what they're doing. Even on youtube, I watch their videos and recieve the same treatment from watching them work. Kanye West is fun to watch b/c he's passionate about getting everything perfect, as well as just doing some dope shit. Even if he has to spend his whole budget on other producers, and the best musicians to put their touch on his music, he gets the job done. You say cocky, I say perfectionist...
Anyway, Peep the first video of Kanye asking for Timbaland's help with his drums on "Stronger" for the Graduation album in '07. The second is him working with T.I.'s producer and ATL legend DJ Toomp on "Goodlife"...LETZ GET INSPIRED People!!!

J-Kits Presents: "The Fresh" The Instrumental
In 31 days, Im releasing my first instrumental beat CD on a few websites, including Youtube. I'll post those sites closer to the release date. Its mainly Hip-Hop influenced, but its got a kick of edgyness and some wierd elements. Weird in a good way tho!
This is strictly for your listening pleasure. I'm goin beyond the norm with this Cd, mainly for experimentation. Some are trax that I've yet to get placed as well. But I believe that people don't share enough music anymore as well. So I'ma give it a go!!!
Although it'll be posted onto youtube, I'll also be selling "The Fresh" for download online for $3.99
Don't take it too serious, because I''m experimenting. But if you do thats cool too. So if you enjoy something refreshing and innovative every once in a while, "The Fresh" will most def. give you that fix.
SUPPORT YA BOY!!! Lata'on people....

REAL TALK #1
The one who can sell you best, is you!
Its so true in many ways. Probably one of the biggest things I've learned over the past 3 yrs in the business was to rely on me. Although I have people who shop my trax and promote what I do for me, I can never rely on just that. My mentors and biz partners help with the credibility sometimes, but doing everything in my power helps give me an edge. Being a dependent only gets you but so far. REAL TALK!

Ready, Set, GO!!!
Okay, so....
Since this is the first blog, I just want to share some insight on who I am. I come from a large family of love, support, talents, and faith. I've also come a long way into understanding how God works in everyone's life.
I grew up in Raleigh, NC and graduated college from Winston-Salem State University in 2007, in W-Salem NC. Since, I've lived in Atlanta for almost 2 yrs and I'm now in Brooklyn NY as a record producer.
Pursuing, and watching all of my dreams unfold has been on a constant up and down. Its crazy 'cause you never know when, where, and who you'll meet that will play an instrumental role in making these things happen. All you can do is work your hardest, pray about it and just let god do his work.
I'll catch you guys up on everything else about me later on as I continue to blog. As well as other interesting things that I love. Every day, I'll post a "Real Talk" segment that involves an inspirational/cliche phrase that helps people like you and me, get through the days of making dreams come to life. Sometimes a lil line or two makes everything better...Even if you've heard it a million times.
To be continued people...
J-Kits
